Festival of the Ueli ferry 2004
Review July 04:
Welcome to Rémy Wirz, the
new Ferryman.

For hundreds of years the Rhein has been the “life blood” of trade and culture in the city of Basel. While other large rivers divide a city the Rhine binds Grossbasel (the Münster side) and Kelinbasel very firmly together.
The four traditional ferries are much loved and used by the residents of Basel as well as our visitors. Along with the five Rhine bridges they make the connection between the two banks of the Rhine a highly varied and colourful one.
